The Weird: when I go to Intel HD Graphics Cotrol Panel it shows that my OS is Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview (photo 1). Intel released its the latest Graphics Driver Version 24.20.100.6286 for Windows 10, which brings improvements for game performance and some bug fixes. Also in youtube videos now and then there are all sorts of artifacts (photo 2 and 3). The Problem: crashes when opening World of Tanks and by the message ( "Display driver for Windows 8 (R) stopped responding.etc") one would think that the new driver for W10 is not installed at all.

I also went to the Intel support website and downloaded a new Graphics Driver that was supposed to install a driver for HD4400 for W10_64 but after installing it shows the driver from Jul 15. Updating to the latest video driver or possibly reverting back to an older version usually corrects the issue. If that does not work or is unavailable do the below. This is the most recommended method, as it is not only the easiest but also the fastest and the most accurate. Right Click Start Button - Device Manager - Display Adapter - double-click the adapter - Driver's tab - use Roll back driver. You can update the Intel HD audio driver automatically. So it's supposed to be the new driver installed but when I go to Device Manager I can see an older driver from installed. Intel HD audio driver may refer to the audio controller driver on your PC or Intel Display audio driver.
Today W10 informed me again that there are some updates and one of them was the Graphics Driver. Confirm in Device Manager > Video Adapters the controller is listed as Microsoft Basic Display Adapter > if not, repeat steps 2 through 4. But I have Windows 10 and the Intel driver for Windows 10 installed. Uninstall the driver and the Intel Graphics Control Panel from Control Panel > Programs and Features. I had turned on the lappy just 10-20 mins before this blackout happened.

I have this weird problem with graphics on my laptop when it crashes and the message (photo 5 and 6) shows "Display driver for Windows 8 (R) stopped responding.etc".
